Science on the Menu – Marsh Birds

Dr. Dale Gentry, Director of Conservation for Audubon’s Upper Mississippi River regional office,will be speaking about marsh birds. Learn everything there is to know!

Tickets are $30 and include dinner, drinks, & dessert. Please let us know if you have allergies or preferences ahead of time. The dinner menu includes:

• Pasta bar with meatballs, grilled chicken, and marinara and alfredo sauces 
• Veggies, garden salad, bread sticks

Doors open at 5 PM for cocktail hour, with dinner to follow at 6 PM.

Dr. Dale Gentry is the Director of Conservation for Audubon’s Upper Mississippi River regional office. Dale directs the development and implementation of Audubon’s habitat conservation and science programs in the Mississippi River flyway, grasslands, and wetlands across Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri. Before starting with Audubon in 2021, Dale spent 15 years in higher education as a professor at the Teton Science Schools in Grand Teton National Park and the University of Northwestern St. Paul studying avian community ecology and the keystone species concept in forests. Dale has a B.S. in Zoology from Idaho State University, an M.S. in Biology from the University of South Dakota, and a Ph.D. in Atmosphere, Environment, and Water Resources from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Dale lives in Shoreview, MN with his family and enjoys birdwatching, cooking, cycling, and Nordic skiing.
