Mr. Barka leads the environmental stewardship, sustainability, neighbor relations, & permitting activities at Christensen Farms, where he has been for 17 years. Mr. Barka’s team of 9 is responsible for environmental care and agronomic services, which work to ensure that all farm and company operations are in regulatory compliance and deliver value in products. This effort uses a companywide environmental management system to acknowledge social, legal, & economic aspects in addition to science & technology while responding to community values.

Mr. Barka grew up on a diversified family farm in west central Minnesota.
